Handspring & Front Somersault/ Upstart Workshop

This workshop focuses on developing Handsprings, front somersaults, and Upstarts. Gymnasts will spend 45 minutes on bars and 45 minutes on track. There will be circuits designed to help gymnasts develop the technique and physical preparation needed to work towards these skills and our coaches will help to guide gymnasts throughout. Please make sure your child can do all of the skills on the skill requirements list confidently.

Skill Requirements:
Round off
Front Somersault (into the pit)
Low Bar Routine (circle up, cast back-hip circle, straddle undershoot)

This camp is available to members and non-members so feel free to share the link with people you know. Please be aware that children attending these days MUST fall within the advertised age/ability range and be confident to spend the day doing an exercised based activity day.

This is for a 1 hour 45 minute gymnastics camp from 2:15pm - 4pm.

Please ensure that your child is wearing a leotard or suitable, tight-fitting sportswear. They must bring a water bottle and any required medication.

Please note, while we always try to accommodate the abilities and interests of the children attending, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate gymnasts as well as their regular sessions can.

In addition the staff ratio is 1 coach to 8 gymnasts as per our industry standard and we are not able to accommodate gymnasts who require any form of individual behaviour management or one to one care in terms of health or behaviour without prior arrangement, for which there may be an additional cost. We are always happy to discuss possibilities for safe inclusion within the sessions that fall within our risk assessments and skill set.
